Most people know by now, even the pharmaceutically indoctrinated, that antibiotics are some of the most commonly used and devastating pharmaceuticals on the market.

But what about those that have added a fluoride molecule to them, also known as fluoroquinolones? Well, they are even deadlier.

In short, these antibiotics potency has been ramped up through the addition of synthetic fluoride, which adds another layer of insult to your body. If ruining your gut bacteria wasn’t enough, these antibiotics are also polluting the liver, dumbing down your brain, and causing nerve damage, musculoskeletal issues, kidney problems, and vision problems.  

So what antibiotics in this category are the worst and how do you avoid taking them?

Well, first of all, let’s be clear that ALL antibiotics are hazardous to your health and there is always a natural answer, although your doctor won’t likely tell you that and will scare you into taking them, often as a preventative to a potential infection. Inevitably, your body ALWAYS suffers as a result, whether it is immediately or a few years down the road.You can recover, but most have no inclination or any idea how to do that so they end up suffering the full consequences.

Also, it doesn’t matter how long ago you took them…if proper action hasn’t been taken, you are still suffering from the side effects. Time doesn’t necessarily heal all wounds, in this case.

So again, what are the worst fluoridated antibiotics that do the most damage to the body?

Going by their shortened names, in no particular order:

1. Cipro
2. Levaquin
3. Factive
4. Avelox
5. Noroxin
6. Floxin

So if you have EVER had even one round of these antibiotics, it has done serious damage that very likely still exists today, unless you have taken a very holistic approach to resolving the insults through food, supplements, and lifestyle.

Now, what’s done is done, and now the focus needs to be on avoiding them in the future, and reversing the damage. Let’s focus on the first point to start.

To avoid antibiotics, you need to know the more powerful natural substances that are antibacterial, and just anti-infectious in general, that will help dissolve and remove infections without causing any damage to the body. There’s many, but a combination is usually the most effective with a synergy and comprehensiveness that makes it difficult for the pathogenic bacteria to survive.

Most people’s go to is oil of oregano, and while it can work, if it is used continuously the pathogenic bacteria will adapt and make it less effective over time. Not only that, the oil is VERY strong and can damage gut bacteria if used too often and at too strong a dosage.

A safer and more effective approach is to use fresh herbs and plants, and make a tea or tonic out of them. My favourite is my antibiotic tonic which combines herbs and plants and extracts the antibacterial components through juicing or blending. Then, you can keep the contents in a dark coloured bottle in the cupboard which will last several months, and take a small dose every day as a preventative, and/or use it in any situation where a bacterial infection is active over a course of 3-5 days to knock it out. Of course, how you eat and conduct your lifestyle matters, and if you are eating sugar, flours, and toxic oils or drinking coffee or alcohol during the process, the effectiveness will be mitigated.

If you have been subjected to a round of antibiotics and want to reverse the damage, keep in mind this is a job that involves more than just a single remedy. Key nutrients include:

1. Probiotics
2. Enzymes
3. Vitamins
4. Minerals

If the damage is deep and creates a leaky gut situation, then other components will be important as well to help restore the beneficial mucosa and to tighten and repair the junctions in the intestinal tract. 

For best results, create a nutritional plan that blends many different types of probiotics through food first, then supplements. This means culturing different types of substrates creating probiotics like cabbage, beets, carrots, coconut flesh and water, raw dairy, ginger, soybeans, and even fruits like apple. Some finished examples of this include sauerkraut, kimchi, coconut kefir, coconut yogurt, apple cider vinegar, miso, and natto. Products that are raw and without sugars and other preservatives are best. Consume 4-8 oz daily of at least 2 or 3 of them each, for best results.

As for enzymes, the focus should be on raw living food that is fresh, preferably less than a week old, and making up to 75% of your diet raw. Some examples include raw fresh pressed juices, coconut water, fresh fruit and vegetables, and raw cultured vegetables. Of course, you can take digestive enzymes as well with or away from food to help support and reintroduce enzyme populations that have been lost. 

As for vitamins and minerals, consider root based foods and colourful fruits as a foundation, with many other whole foods filling in the gaps as well. The focus is on properly prepared plants because they are the easiest to digest, with the highest nutrient values and no “middle man” when consumed mostly raw. Of course, you can enjoy some cooked versions as well, provided that it is done the right away through things like soups and stews, with bone and vegetable broth bases.

Finally, to restore beneficial mucosa, think of things like the gel of aloe vera or the mucilage from a flaxseed tea, and supplementing that with a high quality collagen if leaky gut is suspected.
