There are thousands of permutations that exist that create disease inside your body, but one key element that is at the root of any chronic disease is nutrient deficiencies and imbalances. To take that even a bit further, mineral deficiencies are often a major culprit for chronic disease conditions of all kinds.

I’m going to reveal a few key reasons we experience mineral deficiencies, including a couple major ones and the health conditions they can cause.

First of all, food quality has depreciated with agricultural practices trending towards more chemicals, less summer fallow, and myopic fertilization practices that render inferior soil conditions that ultimately lead to more mineral deficient foods. Combining that inferior production phase, with further processing and longer shelf lives, and you get an end food product that contains a fraction of the mineral content of foods produced decades ago.

This issue with food quality directly and indirectly helps create another issue that leads to mineral deficiencies as well, and that is poor digestion, which often begins with the stomach. Whether it is poor stomach acid, lack of pancreatic enzymes, and even a shortage of quality bile being released by the gallbladder, the contents of food to be broken down in the first major stage of digestion in the stomach is compromised and renders ineffective assimilation of minerals which will ultimately lead to a deficiency if not corrected. This condition will also lead to issues further down the digestive tract in the small and large intestine, which results in further inferior nutrient absorption.

How do you know if this is an issue? Some major signs include food in your stool, muscle weakness, fatigue, acidic conditions, brain fog, increased inflammation, brittle bones, hair and skin quality issues, and much more.

Now, there are some other general and specific insults that also contribute to mineral deficiencies. Chronic health problems, which I’ll define as anything that is consistently a problem whether it is daily, weekly, monthly, or even seasonal, are a major reason for mineral deficiencies due to the burn rate of the body using minerals available to offset the chronic condition, which is often rooted in general acidity. With minerals generally being highly alkaline material, they are used to offset this acidic environment, most prevalent in those with digestive, autoimmune, and cancerous conditions. The more chronic the problem, the higher the burn rate, and the more you’ll need to focus on nutrient dense food that is easily assimilated through increased digestive fire and proper food combinations and preparation.

Unfortunately, when these chronic conditions are prevalent, many go to prescriptions, which increases your overall acidity, and your mineral burn rate accelerates to control the condition via their alkalinity. Prescriptions are a major reason for extreme mineral deficiencies, and they need to be carefully eliminated or avoided to fully rectify existing mineral deficiencies and the conditions they present.

These situations and life in general can be stressful, which is another major condition that depletes minerals, most notably magnesium. When this occurs, some symptoms may include abnormal heart activity, muscle spasms and cramps, restless leg syndrome, fatigue, general weakness, brittle bones, constipation, and heart burn. Most look to rectify these issues supplementally and that can be done symptomatically, however, if the condition is deep you’ll need to manage it on a regular basis until you get your food, digestion, and stress in a better place.

Another example of a common issue everyone deals with today is radiation exposure, most notably non-native EMFs coming from your cellphones, 5G towers, conventional diagnostics like CT scans and mammograms, WiFi routers, smart meters, circuit boxes, TVs, computers, cable boxes, fluorescent lights, plug ins, and more. With this excessive radiation, and various factors like bromine in commercial bread products and fluoride in the water, the body burns through copious amounts of iodine to offset these conditions, which can eventually lead to disease labels reflecting underactive and overactive thyroids, like hypothyroid and hyperthyroid, Hashimoto’s, Graves, and more, to which doctors focus on vectors like T3 and T4 in their diagnostics, which does nothing to explore how low iodine levels are a major reason for thyroid symptoms, like anxiety, fatigue, weight gain, arthritic conditions, and more.

Think exercise will help with mineral deficiencies? Unfortunately, excessive exercise burns through nutrients, such as magnesium, so only increases your burn rate and lowers your mineral storage even more, unless diet and supplementation are strong enough to outpace the depletion. There’s a reason ‘healthy’ marathoners can die of heart attacks…

So how do you get rid of the fatigue? Coffee helps, right? It can short term symptomatically, but at the expense of, you guessed it, mineral depletion like iron due to its induction of the stress response and its acidic nature that is offset by alkaline minerals whenever possible.

Now you can start to understand from these few examples of why mineral deficiencies are so rampant, and some of the conditions they can cause as a result. Of course, there is always a way out, but an organized and holistic plan is needed or it will be relatively fruitless and you’ll end up managing health conditions for the rest of our life.

If you want to discuss your particular situation and available plans to tackle it with far more efficiency and results than trying to do it on your own or with myopic advice, then book a free program consult with me and we can have that conversation.
