Heart disease has reportedly been the number one cause of death for many years in the USA, coming in second in Canada just behind cancer. There are no shortage of reasons it sits at or near the top of the leading causes of death, but some of the more prominent factors include genetically modified and highly processed seed oils and trans fats, excessive sugar consumption, alcohol abuse, and magnesium deficiencies.
The problem with heart attacks is they come on quickly and require immediate action to save someones life, unlike many other chronic disease conditions that don’t usually pose an immediate threat to the individuals life. With heart attacks, you have minutes…and you don’t want to put yourself in that precarious position.
Unfortunately, most don’t recognize or foolishly brush off symptoms that are signs of heart disease that can ultimately lead to a dreaded heart attack, which can quickly and prematurely end your life. Aside from that, heart disease robs you of quality of life, so being aware of the signs is important long before you consult any doctor who won’t even recognize many of the conditions that are potential precursors to heart disease and ultimately, heart attacks.
With that in mind, here are some obvious, and not so obvious signs, you are setting yourself up for a potential heart attack.
1. Pressure or pain in the chest, also known as angina – never ignore this symptom, no matter how infrequent or short the symptoms are.
2. Swelling – if you experience general swelling in your body in various areas, chances are the cardiovascular system is heavily compromised.
3. Sweating, especially in the hands – hot weather and exercise not withstanding, the more you sweat, the higher chances you are experiencing cardiovascular troubles.
4. Unrest, sleeplessness, fear, and pronounced grief – if these emotions are relatively unprovoked but present, they are signals that your heart may be in trouble.
5. Neurasthenia – a complex condition characterized by chronic fatigue, physical discomfort, and psychological distress.
6. Disturbances of the tongue – those with heart conditions may find their tongue more red, especially the tip of it, and have a pale yellow coating underneath it.
7. Concentration disturbances or delirium – if you experience acute confusion and disturbances in attention and awareness of your surroundings, your heart may be in serious trouble.
8. Neuralgia of shoulder and arm – if you experience sharp, stabbing, or burning in the shoulder or arm, take note, it can be a profound sign of heart related problems.
9. Lack of joy – if you find yourself apathetic toward life, consider that your heart may be a cause. Many experience this after a death of a loved one, and have the same fate, not long after.
10. Epigastric pain – discomfort in the upper central region of the abdomen, between the ribs and the belly button, can be indicative of heart related problems.
11. Weakness and shortness of breath – if you feel you lack oxygen and can’t seem to lift your limbs easily, and feel compelled to open windows, a heart condition may be the cause.
In light of events over the past 5 years and the subsequent medical recommendations, many have experienced unexpected heart conditions, and some have not lived to tell about it. This ‘’medicine’ has led to even more heart related issues and these people need to monitor themselves closely if they experience any of the previously mentioned conditions.
If you are dealing with some of several of the above signs, there are always ways to reverse the damage, naturally, and potentially eliminate medications which can cause more problems in the long run.
