We are just starting to wake up to the atrocious upbringing children have been subjected to in the past few decades and the circumstances have only become worse. People are devastated (and reasonably so) to hear of young children being diagnosed with immediate life threatening diseases like cancer, and for anyone keeping score, the list of other health compromising illnesses is growing such as asthma, allergies, ADHD, and more.

So, what gives? How can a fresh new baby incur so many health issues so early in life? Simple, they (and their previous generations) have been subject to a conventional medical and food system that oozes toxicity and malnutrition, which is a simple equation for disease.

The deadly exposure from birth to age 6

A common word utilized by the medical staff following the birth of a child is “healthy”. Of course, this is merely based on the fact that the baby is breathing normally. However, as recently found out in a study spearheaded by the Environmental Working Group (EWG), a “healthy” baby is rarely the case.

In analysis of the umbilical cord blood (the lifeline between mother and baby, containing nutrients that sustain life and propel growth), researchers at two major laboratories found an average of 200 industrial chemicals and pollutants in umbilical cord blood from 10 babies randomly chosen in 2004. None of these babies were chosen due to their parents working in the chemical industry or because they were known to bear problems from chemical exposures in the womb.

Tests revealed a total of 287 chemicals in the group, containing pesticides, consumer product ingredients, and wastes from burning coal, gasoline, and garbage. Of these 287 chemicals, 180 are known to cause cancer in humans or animals, 217 are toxic to the brain and nervous system, and 208 cause birth defects or abnormal development in animal tests.

This exposure is exponentially more harmful at this stage of life, due to rapid development and incomplete defence systems.This makes them extremely vulnerable in the areas of the brain and organs.

However, the toxicity just keeps building.

If you follow the CDC’s recommended vaccination schedule, your child will receive 49 doses of 14 vaccines from birth until they are 6 years of age. With many vaccines known to contain toxic additives like aluminum, mercury, formaldehyde, MSG, and thimerosal, and what you already know about the effects of a toxic burden in the early stages of life, this additional layer of poisoning further complicates a child’s health.

If that wasn’t enough…

According to the Breastfeeding Report Card distributed by the National Centre for Chronic Disease Prevention and Health Promotion, a woman exclusively feeding her baby breastmilk was done by a little better than 37 percent of the population in 2013, and only 16.4 percent were exclusively feeding at 6 months.

This effectively means that baby formula was introduced in over 60 percent of cases after three months of exclusive breast feeding and after six months nearly 85 percent of babies were now being fed baby formula in some capacity.

With popular baby formulas being nearly half composed of corn syrup solids (sugar), with the approximately remaining 50% composed of soybean oil, soy protein, soy protein isolate, safflower oil, and more sugar…well, you can see how this sugar and GMO laced formula devoid of any nutrients is a set up for chronic disease.

It doesn’t get much better from age 6 to 13

In this phase, a new layer of toxins get introduced. Between the ages of 6 and 13, children are often exposed to other toxins as well, including but not limited to:

  • Mercury in dental amalgams (from poor mineralization of teeth)

  • Fluoride (from public water usage in homes and schools)

  • Herbicides and Pesticides (in non-organic food products)

    • Chlorine (from public water supply and pools)

    • GMO’s (primarily in the forms of corn, soy, sugar)

    • Food additives and colors (MSG, nitrates, aspartame, HFCS, food dyes)

    • EMF’s (cell phone, computers, gaming)

    In addition to this toxicity, children are fed processed, non-organic diets mainly comprised of nutrient deficient and GMO foods loaded with sugars and starches, and largely absent of nutrient dense whole foods, especially vegetables. Worse yet, these foods are often prepared in a nutrient zapping microwave!

    It’s incredible that the body can even hold up against these burdens, and you can plainly see the impact it is having today. Unfortunately, childhood disease has become our new “normal” and we have become blind to the fact that it is anything but HEALTHY.

    The outcomes for our future generations are only going to become worse if we continue down this track. There is lots to unwind and plenty we can do, if you want your children to not suffer a fate of chronic disease and early death.
