The shortfalls of clean eating…

One of the first things people do when getting healthier is adopting clean eating. Whether it is organic, hormone free, antibiotic free, wild-caught, grass fed, free run, or some other clean eating label, it is always a step in the right direction.

But does clean eating always result in resolving chronic health concerns? Typically, no. Here’s why.

Clean eating does remove some major concerns with the contaminants in our food supply. But it doesn’t address the key components that are required in order to properly overcome a chronic health problem.

For example, clean eating could mean that sugar, flour, coffee, alcohol, and animal protein are consumed on a regular basis. You may have substituted white sugar with coconut sugar, white flour with gluten free flour, conventional coffee with organic coffee, conventional wine with organic wine, and dirty meat with grass fed, wild-caught, or pasture raised animal protein.

Again, this is good, BUT, it’s not good enough if you actually want to rid yourself of health problems.

This is why HEALING eating looks a bit different than CLEAN eating.

Healing eating will need to eliminate or mitigate any processed sugars, flours, coffee, alcohol, and animal protein. None of these foods facilitate healing, and many will retract from it. They don’t have the magical combination of appropriate hydration, enzymes, probiotics, vitamins, minerals, antimicrobials, and cleansing effects of a healing diet.

And without that powerful synergy showing up in your glass, plate, or bowl on a regular basis, healing is never really activated. You never get out of the rut. Momentum is not your friend.

So if you are irritated, or confused about why you haven’t quite got the results you desire, from a nutritional perspective your food is not being properly addressed.

And good luck having someone with a “doctor” label go through that process with you with a fine toothed comb. They either don’t understand it, or simply don’t do it. It’s rarely a part of their service model.

One day, you’ll either decide to take that brave step to find out how to do healing eating because you’ve had enough, or, you’ll be left to manage your symptoms for the rest of your life.

The choice is always yours. The THRIVE Academy can show you, if you decide to be brave.
