As a society of diagnostic addicts, we tend to rely on doctors to tell us what our problems are so they can supposedly help us fix them so we can maintain some quality of life.

Unfortunately, many diagnostics create further insults to our existing problems, don’t accurately identify the real problem (a disease is not the problem, but rather, the symptom, btw), and then proceed to offer solutions steeped in more trauma through poisonous prescriptions and procedures that NEVER solve the source of the issues, which is why you need to be on the prescriptions daily and forever.

Sounds a lot like enslavement to me…but that’s just me pointing out the obvious, and who am I to wake up a century old indoctrination?

Anyway, if you look at the reasons for disease today, most can reasonably agree to the fact that different types of biological, chemical, and ethereal insults create a lot of different diseases inside the body, as well as nutrient deficiencies and imbalances.

You can get some reasonable tests that analyze different deficiencies, but they are mostly focused on vitamins and minerals, which are important to examine, BUT there is something even more important for ALL basic functions in your body that they rarely if ever get into, that I’d argue most people are seriously deficient in, and that is ENZYMES.

The human body makes approximately 22 digestive enzymes, capable of digesting protein, carbohydrates, sugars, and fats. Food is digested in stages, beginning in the mouth, moving to the stomach, and finally through the small intestine. At each step, specific enzymes break down different types of foods.

As enzymes begin digesting food in the mouth and continue to do the same in the stomach, plant enzymes also become active. The food then enters the upper portion of the small intestine where the pancreas provides pancreatic enzymes to further break down food. The final breakdown of remaining small molecules of food occurs in the smaller and lower intestines. Ideally, the different types of enzymes work together to help digest food and deliver nutrients to cells to maintain their health.

Unfortunately, enzymes are being depleted at every stage from seed to plate. This has caused enzyme deficiencies in the human body that leads to all kinds of health conditions. The main causes of enzyme depletion include:

  • Pesticides and chemicals in food
  • Hybridization and genetic engineering
  • Pasteurization
  • Irradiated food
  • Highly processed foods
  • Cooking food at temperatures above 140F
  • Microwaving
  • Radiation and electromagnetic fields
  • Heavy metal burden

There is nary a person who hasn’t consumed, experienced, or done ALL of these things, which will be attempted to be offset by the body through secretion of enzymes, which further depletes them from your body the longer it goes on. So the old theory that we make less enzymes as we age holds true, but only because we have burnt out our infrastructure that produces them, and eating predominantly cooked and processed foods only exacerbates the problem.

So, how can you tell if you have an enzyme deficiency?

Due to their critical role in a variety of functions in the body, enzyme deficiencies can cause many health related symptoms, and many of them can be traced back to the type of enzymes depleted. Some wide ranging symptoms that could be the result of an enzyme deficiency includes low blood sugar, depressed immunity, bacterial and viral infections, bone problems, skin problems, lung problems, liver disease, obesity, diabetes, cardiovascular problems, gas and bloating, food allergies, candidiasis, and cancer.

Since enzymes are biological catalysts for every reaction or conversion in the body, it makes sense a deficiency can manifest into many different chronic disease conditions, especially digestive, autoimmune, and even cancer.

So, how do you overcome an enzyme deficiency?

Well, first of all, you need to eliminate the major causes of depletion as mentioned earlier. Secondly, you need to refurbish your pancreatic health, with Ceylon cinnamon being one good choice to do that. Thirdly, you need to eat more fresh raw foods that are high in enzymes like papaya, pineapples, mango, melons, kiwi, avocado, kefir, cultured vegetables, raw honey, and bee pollen.

Keep in mind that taking tiny amounts of one or a few of these each day is not anywhere near enough to solve a health problem. To do that, you’ll need to create a nutritional plan that incorporates these types of foods and many more, that are at least 50% of your diet, ideally closer to 75%. If you have a problem with raw foods, it’s your broken down digestive infrastructure, not the food itself, that’s causing the issue.

A couple of other considerations include chewing your food thoroughly to activate and mix more enzymes into your food while it is in your mouth, and taking digestive enzymes both with meals and systematically.

If you need help to fix a digestive, autoimmune, or other health concern that is due to a deficiency in enzymes, which is highly likely, feel free to book a free program consult with me where we can discuss your condition and how to incorporate the right diet and even supplements to regain your health quickly and efficiently.
