Does every meal on your plate need to be a symphony of carbs, fats, and proteins?
No.
The idea of every meal being perfectly balanced is old school. Really, it stinks to high heaven of the agricultural industry influencers sitting at a table with government officials, each lobbying on how to get their products onto the plate every time someone sits down to eat.
The “food guide” was then born.
Since when do government officials or sly marketers have a clue about how to eat for nutrient density and assimilation? Never. They’re more concerned with their lobbyists and profits, than your well-being.
This is why catch phrases like “where do you get your protein” were born. Slick marketers, knowing that few people want to REALLY change their habits, market their junk food shakes or quick answers to those who are too tired or distracted to focus on the REAL answers to health.
Did we forget the tactics this industry has already used?
Avoid sugar (invented the chemical shit storm of artificial sweeteners), avoid fat, eat your protein, carbs are bad, fruit is bad, now eat your fat (we changed our mind), chew on just animals (say a prayer for your colon)…
Can’t we just eat normal for a goddamn change? Balanced diets, FOCUSED on the foods that are the driving force behind good health (fruits and vegetables)?
This is not hard, or at least, it’s not once you get healthy and know which foods create vibrant health, and approximate ratios to eat them in (which doesn’t include diets that are 80% or more fats, or animals).
Partly why the THRIVE Academy is so successful is knowing the most healing foods, ratios, combinations, and preparation required to get the results you want. That and knowing how to supplement, and the lifestyle “hacks” you must leverage.
Generally, it’s pretty simple what a person should do if they are trying to figure out how to be well. FOLLOW those that are, and cozy up to them as much as you can. This should be very easy to understand, but if not, here’s a different way to look at it…
If you want what someone has, DO what they DID.
Or, you can forfeit your health by following those who talk a big game, but the results aren’t there to back it up.
Let’s bring common sense back to the table and not invite the lobbyists and unscrupulous marketers. They can starve or choke on bone, for all I care. We’d all feel better without them.
