Inflammation is a BIG word tossed around these days, and legitimately so as it is often associated with many different types of diseases, including digestive and autoimmune issues.
But is it the actual CAUSE of disease? No.
Just like high cholesterol, elevated liver enzymes, and a fever…these are simply SIGNALS, SIGNS, or SYMPTOMS, of an underlying disease process or infection. The inflammation is the fire truck, not the ARSON.
So is this inflammation rogue, or does the body get confused and send the fire truck to try and put out the flames, that don’t actually exist?
Again, NO. The body does not get confused. If anyone is confused, it is the medical industry, which then causes them to postulate about something they know little about, and create theories to satisfy the patients pain. From there, they diagnose, prescribe, and cover up the SIGNALS, while the fire continues to burn out of control.
If you are dealing with any inflammation, it is the sign of a repair response. A more nebulous example is the pain and stiffness you feel after exercising. A more extreme example is the general body pain that is often associated with an autoimmune condition.
In the latter example, this inflammation is usually a response to an INFECTION, that is running rampant and has not been properly cleared. It could be biological, chemical, or even ethereal.
Take your thyroid, for example. If you have issues with swallowing, neck pain, weight gain, fatigue, mentally sluggish, or consistently have cold hands and feet, chances are you have an infection in that area. In many cases, it could be a virus, that is attempting or has succeeded in embedding itself in that tissue.
The body’s response? Sending resources to that area to combat the infection, which we label as inflammation. Again, the inflammation itself is not the disease…it’s the RESPONSE to the SOURCE of the problem.
So no, your body is NOT confusing things like gluten with thyroid tissue, and attacking your thyroid unscrupulously. If you eat gluten and get an inflammatory response, you are either having issues assimilating this hybridized protein which will cause inflammation, or you are feeding biological infections (like viruses) that will cause inflammation. Often, it is both.
As is usually the case, the conventional health care industry makes it look like your body is the enemy, and they are the wizards with their “magical” potions to adjust it’s erratic and unexplained behaviour. They make you think you need them for your “unexplainable” issues, with their “sophisticated” solutions.
Let me speed up the process for you. Chronic inflammation is primarily the result of infections and malnourishment. Medicine won’t fix either (and makes both worse). Tests are hit and miss, and the remedies from other medical professionals often fail to fulfill the promise.
