What’s your “burn rate”?
When you consider that the majority of people are chronically sick (diagnosed or not) from various infections and malnourishment, it stands to reason that most people are using a vast amount of resources in their body on a day to day basis.
These resources are attempting to use the tools and infrastructure inside the human body to repair any damage. This can create a deficit of nutrients, especially when nutrition is poor.
Got chronic inflammation? Non-stop resources required. Chronically anxious or stressed out? Depletion city. Training or running marathons or the like? You’re deeply tapped.
The main point is, the more infections and malnourishment (sickness) present, the more nutrients your body will burn through in an attempt to fix the problem.
So you may think you have your diet all dialled in, and maybe you do, but if you are dealing with any kind of sickness, the extortion of nutrients can easily outweigh those being imported in via your nutrition and supplementation.
In other words, you have a high burn rate. And it can become extremely difficult to keep up with especially if you have less than stellar food choices that aren’t assimilated easily. Remember, you aren’t necessarily what you eat as much as you are what you DIGEST.
So if you are eating well (or at least, eating as well as you know how), but you can’t take a “day off”, or slip up, because you’ll pay for it later, then you are likely experiencing some nutrient burn out that you haven’t come close to filling in, yet.
For example, chronic stress and poor food choices, could have you burning through FAR more magnesium than you are taking in. If you can’t go without your magnesium due to unfavourable symptoms, that’s a sincere warning sign you are running a deficit.
This is why understanding how to properly eliminate these various infections (biological, chemical, ethereal) that cause nearly every chronic disease, is necessary in order to stop the constant drain on your bodily resources (nutrients) that is outpacing your ability to take them in.
This is why learning how to improve potency of your meals, and how to use the right supplements at the right dosages, is key in turning the tide. That, and adjusting your life to eliminate any environmental wear and tear that is making it worse.
Otherwise, you’re managing chronic symptoms for the rest of your life. Imagine (if you have to), how fun that is. I had to do it for a few years when I had 13 chronic health conditions, and it was taxing to say the least.
This partly why I developed the THRIVE Academy. It tackles it all. You just have to step into it. The plan will take care of the rest.
