The level of collective stress these days is arguably as high as it’s been in many decades, if not our lifetimes. We’ve been coerced to accept a certain version of life that does not fit with our free and abundant nature, and although many of us follow orders to get along, some of us just can’t do it based on what we see happening to our communities, cities, countries, and planet.
In the midst of all of this, our health typically starts to deteriorate. We go to the doctor and he tells us its “just” stress, and that we should either take a pill and/or chill out more often. Like good patients we parrot that line and hide behind the veil of stress, rarely really doing anything about it, and blaming our health problems on it.
Here’s why that’s not useful and hides the real issue…
First of all, at many points in our lives we are going to deal with stress. Relationships will become strained, we will have health issues, emergencies, the death of loved ones, lost jobs, and the list goes on.
Knowing that, we should always develop habits and know natural ways to offset these moments in time, so that it doesn’t negatively affect our overall well-being.
But here is what most people fail to understand about stress…
Stress itself is often not the SOURCE of the health problem. What stress does though, is expose your underlying weaknesses. Your achilles heel. Your genetic faults, if you will.
I’ve seen many people with viral issues for example, that may be labelled autoimmune, and when they go through a moderate to intense period of stress, their symptoms immediately SPIKE. In this case, these hormonal surges activate and FEED the underlying “viral” issue, which then creates the symptoms they associate purely with stress.
In a completely healthy body, the worst you should feel in a short period of stress is emotional distress and some fatigue. If there is no TRIGGER to activate and you treat your body well, you’ll be safe, so long as it doesn’t go on for years.
So although stress can (and will) cause health problems when prolonged and intense, realize that it simply has exposed your body’s weaknesses, and you have some work to do so it doesn’t keep coming up to reduce your livelihood and conceivably be the result of premature death.
Clear the myriad of infections (biological, chemical, and ethereal), rectify nutrient deficiencies, and improve distribution of vital energy, and your body will respond effectively.
It’s the core plan, in my THRIVE Academy, and has managed to help people remove some of the most stubborn digestive, autoimmune, and other health concerns.
