Did you know that you have three main brains? Each has their own benefits when you cultivate them appropriately. Let’s start with the first brain everyone is aware of…
Most people navigate life primarily through their head brain. This is helpful for recalling information and for certain tasks, but, it can also get you into serious trouble on autopilot.
Reason being, most of your daily activities are driven by your subconscious mind, due to the fact that up to 95% of your habits are a result of how your subconscious was programmed.
This can be a good thing, if you have been “programmed” in a way that suits your current desires. But if you haven’t, you can be certain that you will regularly sabotage yourself when trying to incorporate a new habit or way of being, due to the ruling power of the subconscious mind.
So let’s say you want to get healthy, but you grew up in a family where healthy living was not a strong suit. In that first 6 odd years of seeing, acting, and embodying unhealthy practices, it has become literally wired into your brain and body to keep those habits alive. You unconsciously lean towards bad foods and habits, and if you try to change, you eventually are up against sabotaging behaviours that want to run the old programs you are trying to escape.
The good news is, you can rewire your brain. In essence, you need to diligently work on stillness, mindfulness, meditation, and breathing techniques that can alter your brain chemistry. Anything less than that, and your subconscious brain will eat your new desires for breakfast.
Your brain is extremely powerful…and can cause you great joy and great pain. Use it wisely, and program it accordingly, and you’ll be forever thankful.
The heart also has a “brain” of its own, and unlike the brain, feels more than it thinks. Your heart has a powerful, beaming energy when it is nourished and pure, and when you TRULY operate from it (heart-centred), you tend to discern situations better and make more positive choices.
Not only that, but strengthening your heart chakra will allow you to live in more peace and love, despite what is going on in the world around you. More people will be drawn to you and your energy, when you become more heart centred. After all, all anyone truly wants, deep down, is to be and feel LOVED.
The gut has often been called the second brain, and many are familiar with having a “gut feeling” or “going with your gut”. It essentially means that there is an innate intelligence in the gut, that when cultivated and followed, will help keep you out of trouble.
Unfortunately, gut health has been attacked from several different angles, from antibiotics to glyphosate, and the deterioration of its health has corrupted its ability to function correctly. This leaves it full of toxins, a feedlot for pathogenic micro-organisms, an enabler for autoimmune disease, and much more.
Brain fog and other more serious forms of dementia (ie. Alzheimers) are strongly linked to gut health, so if you or someone else suffers, know that you need to get it in order.
Since overcoming 13 chronic disease conditions that were primarily rooted in the gut, my brain health did a complete turnaround. No more brain fog, memory issues, and incoherence.
By the way, age is not an excuse to offload brain problems as inevitable…so don’t use it as it will block you from understanding and resolving the real issue.
So there you have it, a short breakdown of your three main brains, how they affect your health, and how they can change your life when taken care of appropriately. Not coincidentally, the THRIVE program strongly deals with the head, heart, and gut, primarily through digestive restoration and holistic habits that genuinely nourish each of these important areas.
If you want to be blessed with better health, consider the THRIVE Academy as part of your lifestyle.
