A strong immune system ensures you can battle off infections, maintain a high level of energy, get a restful sleep, and enjoy beautiful skin, just to name a few. So what are you waiting for? It’s time to strengthen your immune system using these 7 methods.
Grounding, which is simply putting your skin into direct contact with the surface of the Earth, has a multitude of benefits all connected to the immune system.
The key factor that seems to assist the immune system is the reduction of inflammation. Since there are over 80 chronic diseases associated with inflammation, including cancer (the result of an immune system deficiency) and type 2 diabetes, earthing could be one of the easiest things you have ever done to strengthen your immune system.
Other benefits of grounding which are byproducts of a properly functioning immune system include :

Find a good source of vitamin D
If you live in an area with consistent sunlight, all you need to do is get out in the direct sunlight for 20-30 minutes a day exposing your arms and legs. However, during the winter months, it can become increasingly difficult for people further north to access the sun’s rays on a consistent basis, and those rays are often weak at best.
In this case, take a liquid vitamin D supplement for those months of little-to-no sunshine then check into that sunny holiday and stock up on the beach. You want Vitamin D3, and pairing it with vitamin K2 is a good practice.

Get enough rest
An often underestimated factor for boosting your immune system is getting enough rest, and at the premiere times of the day.
Since the majority of your energy goes to repair and rejuvenation during sleep, it is one of the most important things to do correctly. This means getting to bed before 11pm to facilitate deep sleep in the early hours of the morning (when the best repair takes place) and allowing at least 7 to 8 hours of solid, relatively uninterrupted sleep (taking no more than 5 minutes to get back to sleep if you wake up).
Give yourself some time
There are many ways to strengthen your immune system, but it often takes some time to get it to the point that you are virtually bulletproof to the mass majority of bacteria and viruses that are taking others down.
Using the ideas above, combined with a clean, whole foods diet rooted in fresh produce, will ensure your immune system builds itself up properly. On the flip side, avoid or limit sugar, pasteurized dairy, glutinous grains, and alcohol so you don’t suppress your immune system either.
Although all the remedies mentioned will have a positive effect and can be used in situations where you are coming down with something, the best way is to prevent that from happening at all. A diet rich in nutrients that cleanses and tones the intestinal system is your best bet to do that.
